Most communities today want small, light scrolls. The usual size we write is about 18″ for the height of the scroll, plus the rollers. But if you want a 14″ scroll because you have a small reading desk, or a 24″ scroll because you want large print, we can accommodate you.
Our scribes come from a range of scribal traditions. Before choosing a scribe, you will be able to see their writing and make sure you like it.
The price of a scroll depends partly on the quality of the writing (more beautiful is more expensive) and partly on the timing and availability of the scribe. See the Pricing page for more information.
We are happy to provide rollers, mantles, and so on, but we are also happy to explore ways of making these items meaningful to your community.
